Has Anyone Tried Over The Counter Pharma GABA For Stress?

Has Anyone Tried Over The Counter Pharma GABA For Stress?

I am trying to better manage my stress because I think it contributes to my increase in migraine episodes.
A friend, Who also has migraines recently tried GABA and she thought it helped relax her. It’s a chewable form at 100 mg. I did some research and I did not read anything troubling about it.
Thank you for your responses.

What Abortive Treatments Do You Take? What Other Treatments Have You Tried That Gets Rid Of The Migraine?

I take sumatriptan injections and relpax. The last couple weeks have been horrible and I’m running through them like crazy. I know about rebound headaches but if I want to be functional I need to take something. My parents are wanting me to see a chiropractor but when I’ve been in the past, it’s made them worse.

Muscle Relaxers Given For Migraine Attacks?

Muscle Relaxers Given For Migraine Attacks?

I have experienced 3 months of constant daily & night-time migraines, which had not happened before, since starting Botox 6yrs ago. I felt the night-time/wake-up with Migraines, are the worst!! Disrupting sleep, so a lack of good sleep!! I thought it was teeth clenching, so I bought a good night-time mouth guard to use. Kind of helped, maybe 60%. Kind of hit or miss relief. Two days ago at my Neurologist's appt. for my regular Botox treatment, we discussed my issues. The Dr. prescribed a 10mg… read more

At What Number On A Scale From 1-10 Do You Rate Your “Average” Migraine Pain?

At What Number On A Scale From 1-10 Do You Rate Your “Average” Migraine Pain?

I have read comments about migraine scales being different for everyone. I agree with that. Which left me wondering, with 1 being the lowest and 10 the highest, pain level and incapacitation. What do you consider a “average” or tolerable number on the scale? For me, at 1-3 I feel like I could throw a party, in my head😉. 3-4 is normal tolerable, allowing me to still function. 5-6 I feel anxious, cautious and usually take medication. 7-8 I’m seeking dark, quiet and bring nausea medication on… read more

Triptan Overuse Rebound Headaches

Triptan Overuse Rebound Headaches

What do you guys know about triptan overuse headaches?

I just learned of them from a nurse at my neurologist’s office. This had never been mentioned before by my neurologist and he prescribes me 30 rizatriptans per month and 7 frovatriptans per month, which covers my 20 migraines (if they decide to work). However, I had no idea that by taking the prescribed medication as directed, I could actually be causing more migraines. But if I don’t take them, I’m in excruciating pain and am… read more

2 Questions Actually, That Make Migraine Pain Worse, How Do You Handle When You Can't Stop Crying And Same For Stress

Sometimes I cry just because I am in so much pain even though crying makes the pain worse but I have to get it out it seems. Also I cry when family or friends are in trouble or hurt.
Same thing with stress, I have been able for the most part to keep it at bay for myself, but when my kids or other family or friends are in trouble or hurt, I don't know how to keep the stress and my anxiety disorder under control 🤔

I cry most of the time for various reasons but mostly because I hurt. My heart hurts too. I'm alone in life.
