My pain management Dr has recommended possible ganglion block via the nose. Has anybody had this before? If so, what kind of results did you have? I'm crossing my fingers at this point.

I'm looking to correspond with someone experiencing bad barometric migraines triggered by humidity and bad weather.. Preferably that person will live in an area greatly affected by rain and humidity, such as I who lives in Long Island New York which is completely surrounded by water. Have had chronic barometric migraines for about 5 years now. Known triggers to date are high humidity usually above 50%, high barometric pressure associated with oncoming and upcoming storms. Symptoms can start up… read more
I live beside a river. So know what you are dealing with. Mostly I just hide out in a blackout room with no noise and sleep till it's all over. No meds I take seems to help.😢
I've had 3 blocks so far over 2 1/2 years. The first one helped to calm the severity of the migraine.I was getting rebound headaches. I still get migraines but not as bad to where you pass out or… read more
Has anyone used glasses tinted to block blue/green light? My photo sensitivity seems to be getting worse. I were glasses and have prescription sunglasses, but I find it a hassle going form one pair to another and don't like being inside with the sunglasses on. My prescription is expensive and I wear my glasses all the time so buying a non prescription to try is not an option,
I got a the most inexpensive frames and asked for my prescription to be (mid) pink tinted lenses with anti-glare
Not pretty on me, but they do help to block out harsh, glaring blue light. My eyes… read more
Can anyone tell what specialist to see. I am currently seeing a headache specialist and she really doesn't care to address the neck issue. I've had a chiropractor, a physical therapist and a doctor all tell me how my neck feels like a brick. I torn between a pain clinic and an orhtopeadist? Any advice?

My doctor has been recommending the Occipital Block for my almost daily migraines as most of my migraines begin there. I had bad reaction to Botox, have tried many different preventatives and rescue meds and am tired of being a guinea pig - or feeling like one, anyway.
Any feedback??
I just started getting occipital blocks BUT I also have found that I have to also get them in my cervical area also for it to be effective. But Ive also had a neck fusion done in February...
Howdy again, Migraine Warriors. I'm dealing with a symptom that seems to have dual causes & I'm curious who else struggles with it & how they deal with it, especially ways to reverse the effects. Memory loss. Like, severe dementia-style memory loss. Scary, will-i-wake-up-tomorrow-&-not-know-who-i-am scary. My causes seem to be migraine compounded by years of gabapentin (neurontin) use. I've gotten several responses from my PCP about it from 'your only option is to quit the gabapentin & hope for… read more
