Am new to migraines. Am 42 years old and 3 months ago had first one. I thought I had heart attack. But things didn’t add up cause I didn’t had chest pain nor arm pain. Just slurred speech
Luckily I had morphine left over from kidney stone I had month before migraine attack. But morphine didn’t work. Had to take Advil and Tylenol too. Than I fall a sleep and when I woke up I was just tired but head was fine.

Please please let me know some names of medications that you have had some success with. I have tried a couple with not much success. I have found that botox works but I am unable to have health benefits at this time. When I did have benefits it was covered and life was not as painful 😓.

I have a migraine headache starting first thing in the morning every day. Some days the headache is more severe and some days not too bad. Also, some days it resolves by noon and some days lasts all day. Overall, you can see it really interferes with my daily activities activities and just general sense of well being. Nobody wants to have a painful headache all day every day. I have found that I can reliably reduce the pain significantly by taking 2-200 mg Ibuprofen at 4:00 am and 2 high potency… read more

I am to the point that I am having to take Imetrex daily just to function. I have tried to go without it but the most I can go is three days before I have to finally give in and take it. I am concerned as to what it may be doing to my heart. I take the "Reddy" brand through CVS which does not seem to work as well as the name brand. Also, each time I take an Imetrex I have to chase it with two Tylenol or Advil.
