What do you guys know about triptan overuse headaches?
I just learned of them from a nurse at my neurologist’s office. This had never been mentioned before by my neurologist and he prescribes me 30 rizatriptans per month and 7 frovatriptans per month, which covers my 20 migraines (if they decide to work). What has ppl found to help their migraine's i want to try the Botox shot but not sure if my insurance will pay for it. my cousin got the Daith piercing but it didn't help her so i don't want to try it
Mine already get blurry
I’m having trouble getting my insurance to cover Emgality and my neuro says that Aimovig might be easier to get through for some reason. However, I’m rather concerned about the severe constipation side effect that has caused some patients to need surgery as that has been an issue I’ve had my whole life. How have you guys combatted that side effect? Any info you think would be useful would be much appreciated! TIA! 😊

My migraines started a year after receiving 26 rounds of radiation behind my right ear
I am on Topamax, get Botox injections, Emgality once a month, and use Ubrelvy. The anxiety and embarrassment of my issues are bad enough...but to now twitch! This is too much. I just want to cry and hide.
I usually take a triptan medication when my migraines are bad but I hate the way they make me feel after.
While the migraine pain subsides I tend to feel really achy and just plain yucky after.
What do you take to get through this phase?
triptans make me sleepy but since my cluster migraines most typically occur at 2am I can sleep through the night.
