I have suffered from chronic migraines for 4 1/2 years. Last week I went to the ER bc the left side of my body became weak and numb. I had a very hard time forming sentences or speaking much at all. I did not have a stroke which is what I thought was going on. I got meds and all cleared from the ER doctor. This morning the same weakness started again. I've Had this also and was in a&e last week. fingers started to curl up as well. Was concerned it might be stroke as I've had migraines all my life and only started with the numbness over past few years according to doctors its normal part of this wonderful gift but doesn't hurt to get checked out for peace of mind. And in a funny way nice to hear other people have same 😌

I agree with Deb...I've had hemiplegic migraine since childhood and these symptoms are typical. The numbness/weakness/paralysis is usually down one side. It must have been really frightening to experience this for the first time. I still panic that I might be having a stroke when it happens. 😿

I have had this happen and it's very scary. My Dr sent me to the ER to be safe but he knew it was probably just another weird side effect of a really bad migraine, which it was. Sure was scary. I would faint everytime I tried to stand up. Migraines do some strange things to the brain.
