My Neuro wants me to try the migraine glasses with the FL-41 tint- has anyone tried these? Photophobia is a big part of my TN attacks, so I can see the benefit if they really work, but it's an expensive proposition to get them in prescription. (Because I am also blind as a bat. )
I recently purchased two pairs of FL-41 glasses from Zenni. One pair for indoors and sunglasses for outdoors. This was on the advice from a neuro ophthalmologist from Northwestern. They really work… read more
I often, well almost always, get a migraine when the weather changes, especially when the temperature drops or when it rains. Medicine often doesn't help. If this happens to you, how do you control or ease the pain?
I get them very often when barometric pressure changes. They start late in the day before the pressure moved in and they are killers! Pain in left eye, temple throbbing, jaw spasms and extra tight at… read more
Hello, Avlady ~ I realize this is well after the fact; however, am interested in Kermit... If you have a minute, would you provide direction? Thank you and stay well ~ :-)
I have always had some visual disturbance with and preceding a migraine. However it is rarer that I have a super aura. The first time I had one, I woke to the certainty of police and emergency vehicles outside our window. The red lights were flashing all around my room. I got out of bed to look out the window, there was nothing. Yet the red flashing continued for a few minutes. Followed by a migraine the first time, but not every time. Sometimes it looks more like moving grayish flying shadows… read more
Once very early on in my headache journey. Now, 30 years later I have had several in a year. No headache with them but once a few years ago. That headache was more painful.
It's interesting you say that, because my VM's really kicked in after my Dad passes and we had been taking care of him for 10 years. It was very stressful and emotionally draining, not only on me but… read more

Bright light is definitely a trigger and even when light wasn't the particular trigger when a migraine starts I often wear sunglasses indoors. I even had to put them on during church Sunday because the sunlight was glaring off of the snow on a hill across the street from our church. The window it was coming in was on the other side of the sanctuary and just barely in my peripheral vision, that was an unwelcome first. I wear sunglasses outside most of the time now too, ever since I had cataract… read more
I've had mine for over 2 years now and some days they are the only reason I am able to go outside. Great customer service with quick response.
Several months of daily migraines. Working on meds. Probably related to a neck injury. And lots of dietary and environmental triggers. Definitely have issues with bright lights. Was an issue at work with the fluorescent lights. Wore a special hat like card dealers wear! Took a tube out of the fixture even. Now I’m home and a new problem. All the gray skies and I usually ski. Can’t now. So I have a special light to help release the “happy” me and my migraines prevent me from using it!!! Too… read more
