Does anyone suffer from hemiplegic migraines and struggled to find a medication that helps? Would love to hear any advice you might have.
I’ve tried many meds including Aimovig shots, another brand, Quilipta , two other Cgrp meds, topamax, zonisemide, Keppra ( antiseizure meds) , antidepressants ( amitriptyline, SSRI’s), beta blockers (metoprolol currently) triptans (imitrex ) etc. my hemiplegic migraines slowed down after I retired from a stressful job, but I got many non-hemiplegic migraines, almost daily for around a year. Currrently added Botox to the mix which seems to help , at least for about a month after my first injection. Waiting for Day 84 to get more relief! Hope this helps
Massaging areas where your migraine sets it helps. I massage on top of my head with a rolling pin , on the temples, right above ears with my knuckles, and behind my neck I roll my head on the wooded foot edge of the bed. And it helps wonderfully.
