I feel I have this type more often. Is there any more information on how to deal with these kind of migraines.

I take many preventive meds, but my neurologist told me that nothing will stop the stroke-like symptoms once they’ve started. I take baclofen to relax right neck/shoulder muscles or Compazine ( but not both, as they’re incompatible) along with Tylenol and Advil ( pain is usually moderate , not severe), try to drink water with and lay in my bed ASAP before the weakness gets bad. If I’m out in public, I grab someone ASAP and tell them I’m having a stroke-like migraine, don’t need 911 but I do need a wheel chair, assistance to car, and call a family member to pick me up. I usually have weakness, confusion, slurred speech about 15 min. Then profound tiredness and sleep most of the day. The next day I feel like I just had the flu— all body mild weakness, dizziness, fatigue, etc. Hope that helps.

My migraines feel like someone is hitting the back of my head. They come 3-4 times a week. I don’t know what to do about the pain besides cold or hot compresses which don’t work
