It is a biologic drug and a type of monoclonal antibody called a calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) antagonist, which works by blocking CGRP, a protein that can cause migraine headaches.

I had 2 100mg transfusions.
Unfortunately I had a headache immediately after the first, lasted 30 hrs.
Can't be 100 percent certain
But 2 days after my second one, I got a bad GI infection for weeks. I didn't notice any improvement during those six months, my neurologist didn't recommend me having another.
BUT IM NOT YOU! I'd give anything a try. Good luck.

I have had 2 infusions. I am definitely seeing a decrease in number and intensity of migraine. I am hoping as I undergo additional infusions, I will see even more relief. Good luck!
