Hi! I have taken both. Ubrelvy is the rescue and Qulipta I the preventative. You can also take Qulipta as a rescue if you don't have Ubrelvy, or cannot afford it. I cannot as it is a. $500 deductible for 10 pills for me.😫 They both work really well and I have literally tried all of the drugs out there that I'm not allergic to. I take Emgality for the chronic migraine. It does not help my cluster migraines! But it does help the SUNCT type.

Both Qulipta (atogepant) and Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) are CGRP medications that work in different but complementary ways. Qulipta is specifically designed for migraine prevention and is taken once daily. Studies show it can reduce monthly migraine days by 3-4 days on average, which could be significant for someone experiencing 4-6 migraines monthly. Ubrelvy is designed for acute treatment when a migraine attack occurs. It works quickly to block CGRP and relieve symptoms without causing extreme drowsiness. Many people experience relief within two hours, and if needed, a second dose can be taken within 24 hours if symptoms persist. Common side effects for both medications may include fatigue, upset stomach, and dry mouth. For best results with acute treatments like Ubrelvy, take them as early as possible when you notice migraine symptoms beginning. This allows the medication to be fully absorbed and reach peak effectiveness when you need it most.
