Medication called Zofran . It’s very safe and it’s what nurses give all the time in the ER. It’s a prescription, so you need to ask
your Dr. You can use that if you really don’t get results from anything else.
I use to get nausea and vomiting when having bead migraines too.
Good luck!

Nausea is one of the most common migraine symptoms, affecting up to half of people with migraines. It can happen at any phase of an attack and can be just as disruptive as the head pain itself. Weather changes like rain and shifts in barometric pressure are well-known migraine triggers. One MyMigraineTeam member found that using pressure-filtering earplugs and a weather app helped them anticipate migraine days so they could prepare in advance.
Some things that may help with nausea during an attack include:
- Ginger products (tea, candy, or capsules)
- Peppermint oil or aromatherapy
- Bland foods like crackers
- Staying hydrated with water or clear broth
- Resting in a dark, quiet space
- Avoiding strong smells and spicy foods It's also worth talking to a doctor about anti-nausea medications or alternative delivery methods like nasal sprays, especially if vomiting is making it hard to keep oral medications down.
Since your migraines began after neck surgery, that's definitely something to discuss with your neurologist so they can tailor a treatment plan specifically for you.
