Not exactly sure what you are experiencing but I also feel drained when i come off a migraine and sometimes that drained feeling doesn't go away.

Feeling sleepy could definitely be a sign that a migraine is winding down! That exhausted, drained feeling is part of what's called the postdrome phase โ€” or as many MyMigraineTeam members lovingly call it, the "migraine hangover." ๐Ÿน (minus the fun, of course).

About 80% of people who get migraines experience this phase after the pain starts to ease up. However, sleepiness can also show up at the *start* of a migraine during the prodrome phase, so it's worth paying attention to other signals your body might be sending.

Some common postdrome signs that suggest you're wrapping up include:

- Intense fatigue or exhaustion
- Body aches
- Difficulty concentrating or brain fog
- Sensitivity to light
- Feeling emotionally low or, for some, unusually happy

The postdrome phase can last anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days. The best thing to do right now is rest in a cool, dark, quiet space, stay hydrated, and let your body recover. Be gentle with yourself โ€” this phase is real and can be just as draining as the migraine itself.
