Migraine started early morning tried to make it go away with Tylenol 500 and light roast coffee even used ice for five minutes on the area that was feeling the pain level. The ice actually worked but only for a short period of time
Two hours later since it was safe I took my Ubrelvy hoping that would resolve the issue unfortunately it didn't. Two hours later I took another Ubrelvy and here I am now in a limbo feeling like the migraine is still hanging on
I have a pretty good idea why the… read more
I am so sorry that you are having the miagrane that won’t guilt. I hope you are feeling better by now.
In regards to your UTI I have always found that after about 5 days of Qulipta I would get a urinary trac infection. My doctor says no connection but a a quick google search shows that Qulipta can cause infection and renal failure is listed in both Umbrevly and Qulipta side effects. I am taking Nurtec now. Finding it real hard on my stomach.
I sure hope you are feeling better.
@A MyMigraineTeam Member I have been speaking with my specialists *both primary and neurological* and they are fully aware. As I stated in the update everything has been resolved and as of today I am back to normal now that the antibiotic has basically gone out of my system. When I provided activity taking place after antibiotic taking place very first comment I had gotten came from the pharmacy was how this type medication can cause all three because of what it is. It was decided after speaking to both specialists to work with the antibiotic rather than make any changes in my case. I was asked to keep everyone in loop with updates which I had no problem in doing, sent out the update yesterday morning.
Issue has been resolved as far as I'm concerned.
Talk with your doc r e the following as a possible route when you aren’t getting relief. if you don’t have liver problems or other contraindications, you theoretically could’ve taken a total of 1000 mg Tylenol every 8 hours, per the bottle. As well, it is safe to combine Tylenol and ibuprofen ( aka Motrin or Advil) up to 200 mg every 8 hours per the otc label if you don’t have contraindications including but not limited to kidney problems, cardiovascular problems, “ blood thinners” or other NSAIDS such as Meloxicam, naproxen, etc. As a retired RN, an ER doc instructed me that combo & dosage gives same pain relief as Percocet.
Thank you KarenHouck I appreciate the thoughts. I'm actually taking magnesium glycimate and B-complex which has all of the b-vitamins in it. The migraine is letting me know it's there but not as nasty as it has been the past few days. I'm beginning to think this antibiotic has something to do with the migraine flow. Today is the last day for taking the antibiotic so hoping as the antibiotic wears down the migraine activity should slow down with it. Will make a short posting or two for an update at the bottom.
Sue have you tried any essential oils or migraine ice patches? (I think they quit making the brand "migraine ice" patches as I haven't seen them in quite awhile. But they market the same product as fever patches both for kids and adults. Sometimes they can make a big difference for me. Also my former neurologist put me on vitamin B-2, B-12, and magnesium. It's helped but only in frequency. But magnesium is a natural muscle relaxant, and most Americans are lacking enough magnesium, especially if you take medication.
Sue, I hope and pray that you are feeling better SOON! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
P.S. I also use a silk sleep mask whenever I lay down with a migraine. It also can help. I'll be thinking of you 🤗 .
