What The Worse Pain You Have Ever Been In From A Migraine?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

Have you ever had a migraine so bad that you felt the pressure and pain was so bad your head was going to bust open?

I've had migraines since I was three years old, and yes, I have had many that made me feel certain that my head was going to explode and have brain matter, blood and spinal fluid free flowing out of my ears, eyes and nose. Mine sometimes last more than six months at a time. I have had so many ER visits that I finally gave up on that. At age 57, post-menopausal, they continue to persist. Triggers for me are numerous and often out of my control. They include food allergies, weed and grass allergies, tree allergies and mold allergies, as well as incoming weather of many types, especially when the barometric pressure fluctuates often with a day, or over a period of days. Too much sun and heat (and I live in Kansas!) also triggers migraines. Because of the duration of them, I no longer respond well to interventional courses of injections, or prophylaxis medications, as I have tried and failed on so many of them. I also have begun to have TIAs, and feel certain that ultimately I will have a major stroke that will be the end of my life. I use several things to help prevent and mitigate the frequench and severity. These things include daily use of magnesium glycinate, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin D3, selenium and allergy meds year round. More recently, I have begun consistent use of CBD (cannabidiol) daily, in both tincture and isolate (powder) forms, which are administered sublingually (under the tongue). I have found that this helps with sleep, depression, anxiety and chronic pain of all types, as I also have severe osteoarthritis, progressive cervical disc disease (in my neck), referred neck pain that causes headaches, and helps also to manage my bipolar disorder. It's legal in all 50 states and can be purchased online or in retail stores. My preferred brand is Pure Spectrum CBD, and I have also read that thas Charlotte's Web brand is very good. Both can be ordered online. Hope this is informative, helpful, and makes others feel less alone and in despair and frustration. ☮😖

When I was about 5 or 6 I asked my parents if I could use the power drill for my head. They refused since children couldn't possibly experience pain *eye roll* Sometimes I find wrapping my head tightly with a towel to be somewhat helpful, or a needle above my eyebrow. It's not really something I'd advise, but I'm sure we all have coping mechanisms that aren't really ideal.

Yes the only thing i have found that i can do is take and get in a dark and quiet place and just try to relax. I have found an app on google play that gives you different breathing types you can do and it helps me. Plus i also listen to it if i have a bad panic attack
