Any information is helpful: I have over 20 medications listed I can't take. Most of the recommended for the Fibro we tried with the Migraines and does not help or I'm allergic to it. Gabapentin will NOT work as I get suicidal with it and I fight that enough without adding to it. Zoloft sends me to the ER with swelling, rash, and breathing issues.
Suggestions? Information on what to expect from here on out other than fight the insurance people and stay funtional?

I'm seeing a Headache Specialist who obviously is a neurologist next week. My regular neurologist has done a great job trying, but the meds aren't working and I'm experiencing several more symptoms quickly. I'm sure I'll need one. I've been poked and prodded, sliced and diced, and I've been ok. I'm terrified of the spinal tap. Can everyone give me the scoop on the pain, procedure, etc. Please be honest and straightforward. Weather headaches are a problem for me. I was thinking of moving to the Phoenix area. What are some good areas in the Phoenix to live? I was thinking Goodyear or Gilbert.

When I get a migraine my neck hurts really bad. I have found a neck brace really helps with the pain. Does any one else have this problem? Has any one else used a neck brace for this too? What else has any one tried that works?

I have had migraines since I was 5 years old. My Mom always thought they were sinus headaches. They are mostly on the right side. If I get one on the left, it will last a few days, then move to the right. We moved and current doctor just does not get it.
My migraines change from the left side to the right side. They migrate. And there is no rhyme or reason for it. At none that I've figured out.
I was diagnosed with chronic migraine many years ago...I was still in my thirties. I remember my doctor telling me that once I went through menopause it was very likely that my headaches would occur less often and with less intensity. I remember thinking that was so far in the future!! Well, he was wrong; I still suffer migraines and I'm long past menopause.
Menopause has not eased my migraines at all... I have to say, sometimes these Doctors just don't have a clue... I mean hello? Hormones bouncing all over the place?
Mine are weed killers and fertilizers, Fabreeze anything, petroleum hot tar, cologne and even deodorant (especially strong scented men's deo., cigar 🤢cigarette smoke, mowing of lawns. Scented candles and room deodorizers.i find I am becoming more sensitive as I get older 😕. Mold, bonfires, fireplaces, cleaning supplies, even dust. Anyone relate?
