Members shared mixed experiences with Nurtec for chronic migraine prevention, with some finding it stopped working over time while others use it successfully as both a preventative and abortive medication, though often needing additional treatments. Several members described switching to or supplementing with other medications like Ubrelvy, sumatriptan, Excedrin Migraine, Emgality, or Aimovig injections, and many emphasized that even with multiple prevention strategies, breakthrough migraines still occur. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of migraine management, with members learning to combine different medications and approaches to find what works best for their individual patterns.

I only take Nurtec as needed however its a hit or miss I get sinus migraine most of the time and the pain is often in my nose which I dont think it is effective at times . In between I take a amovig shot once a month and duflenac potassium at night. Seems to help . I also do a sinus rinse.
