Triptan Overuse Rebound Headaches
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

What do you guys know about triptan overuse headaches?

I just learned of them from a nurse at my neurologist’s office. This had never been mentioned before by my neurologist and he prescribes me 30 rizatriptans per month and 7 frovatriptans per month, which covers my 20 migraines (if they decide to work). However, I had no idea that by taking the prescribed medication as directed, I could actually be causing more migraines. But if I don’t take them, I’m in excruciating pain and am… read more

How Much Does The Weather Play A Role With Your Migraine
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I can't believe how much better I feel now that the temperature has dropped. There also does not seem to be the big fluctuations in the temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. The thing that is still messing with my head is precipitation. I know the day before it's going to rain, then it rains and then it takes a day to feel better. That's three days out of my life. Weather migraines are really bad, anybody else have them? In sure lots of us do. Anyone know how to avoid or cope… read more

Has Anyone Tried To Get Off All Migraine Meds Cold Turkey?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

New resident doctor...which is a doctor in training...decided to not allow me to take 50 Mg of Sumitriptan daily, even though it's been working for a long time without affecting my heart or anything. My blood pressure is slightly elevated, but not in danger zone. I have been losing weight intentionally...packed some on during covid, but not in too bad of a shape. They seem to think they are rebounds...but everything rebounds your body, including anything with caffeine, sugar, and much more… read more

Have You Tried A Millet Or Buckwheat Pillow, And Did It Help?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

The advertisements say that they are cool to the head, and I know that is a good thing for us. I don't know if they are cool enough to reduce head pain. They talk more about neck pain, because you can adjust the little things inside the pillow, and take out some of the stuffing for a looser, softer effect.

They are so expensive; I wanted to see what kind of feedback I could get here.

I'm looking at PineTales.com, because they are in Arizona and completely American-made. I don't want to buy… read more

Hi, My Name Is Ana. I Am In NJ.Have Any Of You Read A Book Called “ HEAL YOUR HEADACHE “ From David Buchholz, M.D. Thank You.
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

My migraines are triggered almost 80% by barometric changes. So, I read the book and I did all that the doctor suggested. I stop drinking coffee 100%. And changed my diet.
But since the weather is something that you can’t control. His method is not help me much.
Just want to know any comments.
Thank you.
