I Need A New Neuro
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

Is anyone out there by Bakersfield CA that know a good neurologist? I've went through 5 so far and all of them are dumb or don't care. I'm not on any preventatives right now and I could really use a preventative.

How Much Does The Weather Play A Role With Your Migraine
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I can't believe how much better I feel now that the temperature has dropped. There also does not seem to be the big fluctuations in the temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. The thing that is still messing with my head is precipitation. I know the day before it's going to rain, then it rains and then it takes a day to feel better. That's three days out of my life. Weather migraines are really bad, anybody else have them? In sure lots of us do. Anyone know how to avoid or cope… read more

Does Botox Help?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been having chronic migraines for like 10 yrs. nothing helps my last shot is Botox. Kind of scared to try it. What are your thoughts of someone that has had Botox? My neurologist suggested this. I have tried all meds and nothing works. I am on prevention meds and I get rebound headaches from over taking the meds because of having them so much. I have to call out of work all the time and they even threatened to write me up for Missing so many days. There is nothing I can do about it. I am… read more

Fibromyalgia Information? New Diagnosis To Go With Migraine.
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

Any information is helpful: I have over 20 medications listed I can't take. Most of the recommended for the Fibro we tried with the Migraines and does not help or I'm allergic to it. Gabapentin will NOT work as I get suicidal with it and I fight that enough without adding to it. Zoloft sends me to the ER with swelling, rash, and breathing issues.
Suggestions? Information on what to expect from here on out other than fight the insurance people and stay funtional?

Thank you. I've done Tramadol and Torodal in the past decade or so for the migraine issues so it helped with the Fibro pains also so that it was "disguised" I guess. Treatments appear to be about the… read more

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

It first started with my vision when I was driving home from work in mid January 2023. And then early February I woke up one day with excruciating headache and eye pain blurry vision nausea dizziness and stabbing ear pain and ringing in my ears. And it’s been going on ever since. I went to see a neurologist and she diagnosed me with vertigo anxiety and migraine. She prescribed venlafaxine, which I didn’t take. I went to see another neurologist and he said that I have tension headache, anxiety… read more

Memory Loss
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

Howdy again, Migraine Warriors. I'm dealing with a symptom that seems to have dual causes & I'm curious who else struggles with it & how they deal with it, especially ways to reverse the effects. Memory loss. Like, severe dementia-style memory loss. Scary, will-i-wake-up-tomorrow-&-not-know-who-i-am scary. My causes seem to be migraine compounded by years of gabapentin (neurontin) use. I've gotten several responses from my PCP about it from 'your only option is to quit the gabapentin & hope for… read more
