Hi everyone! I have been dealing with Chronic migraines sine my 20's. The Neurologist has me on Zonisamide and increased the dosage but it is not working. I have migraines pret thg much every day and miss work also i am on FMLA at work. I was thinking about trying Aimovig. Has anyone tried this and what experience did you have. Also what about Botox? I am scared to try it.

I have always had some visual disturbance with and preceding a migraine. However it is rarer that I have a super aura. The first time I had one, I woke to the certainty of police and emergency vehicles outside our window. The red lights were flashing all around my room. I can't believe how much better I feel now that the temperature has dropped. There also does not seem to be the big fluctuations in the temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. The thing that is still messing with my head is precipitation. I know the day before it's going to rain, then it rains and then it takes a day to feel better. That's three days out of my life. My migraines are definitely triggered by the barometric pressure going down. It doesn't seem to bother me when it rises. I live in the Calgary, Alberta, Canada region and we have the worst BP changes in the country. Used to love the Chinooks over the mountains as it brings warmer weather but now that I have migraines, I dread them.

Hi all
Am new to migraines. Am 42 years old and 3 months ago had first one. I thought I had heart attack. But things didn’t add up cause I didn’t had chest pain nor arm pain. Just slurred speech
Luckily I had morphine left over from kidney stone I had month before migraine attack. But morphine didn’t work. Had to take Advil and Tylenol too. Than I fall a sleep and when I woke up I was just tired but head was fine.

I have been having chronic migraines for like 10 yrs. nothing helps my last shot is Botox. Kind of scared to try it. What are your thoughts of someone that has had Botox? My neurologist suggested this. I have tried all meds and nothing works. I am on prevention meds and I get rebound headaches from over taking the meds because of having them so much.
